Kona Love for Kid Comfort!

Kona Child Seat Compatible Aftermarket Deck: USD $60

Kona’s MinUte is fast becoming popular as a sturdy and lightweight alternative to steel-framed cargo bike competitors. The lightweight, butted aluminum frame, mechanical disc brakes, and Shimano components have made the cargo bike a huge favorite around San Francisco for doing everything from carrying groceries home from the market, to taking the kids to school. Well, Kona just stepped it up a notch in the kid comfort department, BIG TIME…

Behold Kona’s new child seat compatible aftermarket deck!

The deck is made here in the states from a heavy-duty recycled plastic, and uses the same mounting holes as the MinUte’s standard wooden deck. Additionally, two more rows of holes are provided and have been designed for compatibility with the Yepp and Extracycle brand child seats. Don’t worry about losing access to your panniers, because the whole shebang is designed to retain all of the Minute’s standard cargo functionality, baggage included.

To convert your Minute to the world’s coolest two-wheeled kid taxi, simply replace the stock wooden deck with Kona’s aftermarket deck, attach Yepp’s Easyfit Carrier, and add a Yepp Maxi or Extracycle Pea Pod III  child seat.

Don’t wait until school starts to stop by the shop and talk to us about outfitting your MinUte! Decks are available now and may be in limited supply.

Do you still have MinUte decks available? Do you ship internationally?

    Thank you!

Hello, unfortunately we can not commit to an international sale. Payment and shipping costs become a little tricky. I would suggest going to your local bike shop for the item and additional advice. It might be a cheaper solution. Thanks for visiting the website. Take care.

Hi, I have Kona Minute decks in the natural wood and high density plastic for $60.00 each. The Kona Ute decks are $80.00 for both plastic and the wood, and also have them in stock.
